Breffni Vintage Club Memorial Run 2026

Breffni Vintage Club held our memorial run for 2026 on Sunday 24th May. The run assembled at our traditional base at the Cavan Crystal Hotel before departing at 11am for a leisurely drive through the Cavan countryside to the midway stop at the Cavan County Museum.

A delicious array of refreshments were served at the museum followed by an opportunity for everyone to tour the museum and the grounds including the World War I trenches.

The run then returned to the Cavan Crystal Hotel where dinner was served followed by the presentation of the memorial awards for 2026.

Breffni Vintage Club Memorial Run 2025

Breffni Vintage Club held our annual memorial run for 2025 on Sunday 25th May based at the Cavan Crystal Hotel. As is tradition, the run departed promptly at 11am from Cavan and made it’s way to the first of two stops at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig.

Refreshments were served while everyone had an opportunity to tour the beautiful and impressive house and gardens. The Tyrone Guthrie Centre serves a retreat for artists and offers them the opportunity to focus on creative work without distractions.

The second of our stops on this years run was at Redhills, Co. Cavan where our club president Eugene Markey gave an excellent talk on the history of Redhills and the surrounding areas.

The run finished at the Cavan Crystal Hotel where dinner was served and this years awards were presented.

Opening Run 2024

Breffni Vintage Club held our opening run of 2024 on Sunday 21st April in Virginia, Co. Cavan. The run commemorated 30 years of the club’s 1994 vintage show at the show grounds in Virginia. A number of the members that attended the show in 1994 also attended the run.

Over 60 cars left from the Virginia Show Grounds for a short run through the scenic countryside to the Crafts of Ireland centre where food and refreshments were served to the participants.
